SoulinMotion Running retreats SLOVENIA and LENDRICK LODGE 2018

 SLOVENIA 2019,

JULY 1ST TO JULY 7TH  2019.

Total Cost £700 for 6 nights, 7 days including all meals, yoga and running coaching and the use of the whole hostel. You will be staying in the Slovenian National Park, close to Lake Bohinj, next to Ukanc. Transfers and flights are not included but the hostel is easy to get to via the local system.Deposit is £150.  The week is a balance between yoga and running coaching and space for you to unwind. The previous group had a brilliant time and we are going back to allow more folk the opportunity to visit this beautiful part of Europe. The loop of learn/drill/practise/get feedback/adjust can be repeated as often as you are willing to do in the time - with the invaluable presence and scrutiny of ‘coach’ Nick. I think i learned a huge amount in this short time, not always quantifiable, but i felt real progress was made and there is much material for long term training. Two tangible examples: my VO2max went up a few notches within days. And the time for my daily 11k route decreased by a full 8 minutes (!) over the week, simply due to learning about gears and practising. What a great weekend, it was lovely to be surrounded by like minded folk. Nick Constantine and Mark Russell's organisation of the weekend was superb. They were both well aware of the individual needs and were able to offer their expert advice to help people on their chi running journey

I just wanted to say thank you for these (yoga) sessions. ............. I can already feel being taller when I run, and my posture is definitely improving. I’ve had no hints of IT problems which have been a problem for me in the past...... the yoga session before my long run makes a massive difference...  I also enjoy the fact that you break down yoga asana, and help us work our way towards each asana step-by-step. Standard yoga classes can be so disheartening.......and you’re struggling because you have hip flexors like vices! ‘

Soulinmotion Yoga and Movement workshops for runners

'A work in not a work out'

 Having worked with runners at all levels(2000+ at last count) from Olympic qualification to broken and distraught for 12 years , designed and supported the development of  yoga and running retreats for 7 years, I feel I am now able to offer the level of workshop for runners in the North East and Scotland  that I feel runners need. As one runner said 'you are helping us bulletproof our body against injury'

   I am hoping my running style has improved a little since I did my first session with you a few years ago.  I thought id share these pics of me recently running in Ibiza & winning the European Sprint Duathlon Championship age group 60-64 (5k run 20 k bike 2.5k run)'

 

 

 I have  additionally spent 10 years working with Kridaka Yoga in Scotland (Mark Russell) who has worked with the very best yoga teachers (Gary Carter, A G Mohan, Pete Blackenby, Leslie Kaminoff to name but a few) blending and integrating the different types of yoga styles such as Ashtanga, Iyengar, Scaravelli etc to form a practice around the individual not the asana. The running element of my teaching practice combines aspects of Chi Running but includes additional specific drills that focus on balance, agility and mobility to help the runner move better.
